Exhibition identity designed for «Architectures of Destruction — Afghanistan in Contemporary Art» held by Conmidea in Cologne. The exhibition brings together artistic perspectives on Afghanistan through the lens of ruins, memory, destruction, and what remains visible after political and historical violence.
Design concept: from thriving landscapes to wounded grounds. The key visual shows a distant view of Afghanistan—The Helmand River running across the land, shaping cities and life forming along its path. This aerial perspective shows a vivid geography, while withholding the ruins and destruction revealed by the exhibition. The eye of the observer moves from distance to proximity—from beautiful and untouched landscapes to broken architectures, remnants, and emotional realities. All captured by the prematurity of the visual language.
